Upper St. Clair police are looking for a man who authorities say burglarized a home on Warwick Drive this morning.
Police got a call at 10:30 a.m. from a man who identified himself as the son of the owners, police Chief Doug Burkholder said. The caller said he was awakened by the noise of someone in the house, and confronted a man he described as a white male, in his 30s, "with a foreign accent," according to responding officers.
The burglar said "I'm sorry" and ran away, Chief Burkholder said. The burglar had entered through an unlocked back door. He took jewelry, the value of which could not be determined.
Chief Burkholder said police processed fingerprints on the scene and are conducting a neighborhood search.
