Woman, 19, killed in Fayette County crash

A 19-year-old woman was killed this morning in a vehicle crash in South Union, Fayette County.

The Fayette County coroner’s office identified her as Christina Yauger of Lemont Furnace. She died at the scene.

A county dispatch supervisor said the crash involved one vehicle and occurred on Route 119 at the Walnut Hill Road exit shortly about 9 a.m.

Pennsylvania State Police in the Uniontown barracks said the Jeep Wrangler Ms. Yauger was driving went off the road and into an embankment, throwing her from the vehicle.

Ms. Yauger was on her way to meet her fiance, Robert Machnik, state police said. A woman who said she was his mother said the family did not wish to comment.
