Man in Duquesne shot three times overnight

A man was shot inside his SUV early Thursday morning in Duquesne.

The man, who has not been identified, was rushed to UPMC Mercy, where he is being treated for his injuries, KDKA-TV reported.

The shooting happened about 2:30 a.m. at the intersection of South Second and Grant streets. The victim then drove to North Third and Hamilton streets.

He was shot three times on his left side, according to the KDKA-TV report. The car had nine bullet holes in it.

Police believe that the shooter was driving a silver Lincoln Navigator. The incident is under investigation by Duquesne and Allegheny County Police.
