A jury deliberated less than two hours on Tuesday before finding a McKeesport man guilty of first-degree murder.

Mark Leonard, 33, was accused of killing Jayemond Bailey, 34, inside the Streets Star Bar on Sixth Avenue in McKeesport on Jan. 11, 2013.

Leonard was arrested more than two months later hiding in duct work inside a Wilkinsburg home. He told police he shot Bailey but that it was in self-defense.

The defense argued at trial that Leonard and Bailey had been involved in a dispute over drug sales and that Bailey pulled a gun on Leonard first as they were inside a bathroom in the bar.

But the prosecution said Bailey was shot 14 times and that indicated a specific intent to kill.

Sentencing is set for March 20.

Leonard faces a mandatory penalty of life in prison without the chance for parole.
