A woman is suing the Historical Society of Upper St. Clair after she was hit in the head with a lawn dart thrown by a child, and she sustained “serious injuries” during a Community Day and Open House in 2012, states the lawsuit filed by attorney Mark A. Smith in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.

Rebecca Waldron of Upper St. Clair and her two children were at Gilfillan Farm on May 19, 2012. She was hit after “The Historical Society of Upper St. Clair Inc. failed to provide a safe environment for all patrons by leaving the lawn dart activity unsupervised and without all of its components and instructions,” the suit states.
