Two men charged in the beating and robbery of a Fayette County woman were involved in almost a dozen other burglaries in the past few months in Pennsylvania and West Virginia, state police said.

Wanda Wokulich, 59, was "viciously beaten" by Walter Myers III, 34, and Michael Weber, 24, during a home invasion and robbery Nov. 21 on Konicki Road in Nicholson Township, state police Trooper Stefani Plume said.

Surveillance photos later showed Mr. Weber of Lake Lynn, Fayette County, using Ms. Wokulich's credit card, and an informant identified him and the vehicle he was in for police, she said.

On Thursday, police stopped the vehicle in the photos and arrested the driver, Myers, also of Lake Lynn, who told police he was involved in the Konicki Road robbery.

Mr. Weber was arrested on a warrant today in Fayette County by the U.S. marshals from the Western District of Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force.

He was charged with aggravated assault, burglary, robbery, conspiracy to commit burglary, criminal trespassing, theft by unlawful taking, simple assault and criminal mischief.

Myers was charged with burglary, criminal trespassing and theft by unlawful taking.

Additional charges will be filed in the earlier burglaries, Trooper Plume said.

Friends of Ms. Wokulich, who had established a reward fund in her name, are working with state police to get that money to the informant, she said.
