Homestead police seek man involved in violent robbery

Homestead police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a man involved in a violent robbery.

According to KDKA-TV, at 9:30 a.m. a man dressed in black entered the PA Wine and Spirits store on East 8th Ave., pulled out a gun and approached a clerk. The man ordered the clerk to open the store safe and a register, took some money from the register and forced the employee into the back of the store by striking her in the head with his handgun. The clerk was admitted to a local hospital with a head injury.

There was no information on how much money was stolen or any other details about the suspect.
