A woman who in March was beaten and robbed for her purse and its contents -- including $75 in cash, a Jitterbug flip cell phone, eye glasses and photos of her family -- has died.

Mary Yourchik, 82, died Monday at Mt. Macrina nursing facility in Uniontown. Fayette County Coroner Phillip E. Reilly said he will review Ms. Yourchik's medical records before issuing a cause and -- "of equal or greater importance"-- manner of death.

Sisters Brittany Joyce Boyd, 25, and Jenna Shay Boyd, 26, both of Uniontown were charged in the March 22 robbery and are being held in the Fayette County Prison, according to court documents.

Police said Brittany Boyd kicked and punched Ms. Yourchik in a Uniontown Wal-Mart parking lot in an attempt to take her purse. Ms. Yourchik broke a hip when she was kicked to the ground, police said. A loss prevention officer noticed another woman, later identified as Jenna Boyd, and a young child in the car that Brittany Boyd used to leave the parking lot, according to court documents.

Brittany Boyd faces charges including aggravated assault, robbery, conspiracy, simple assault and endangering the welfare of children. Jenna Boyd has been charged with conspiracy, theft by unlawful taking, endangering the welfare of children and unsworn falsifications to authorities.
