Two roads in Scott are expected to be closed through the Thursday morning rush while crews repair a water main break.

Greentree Road is closed between Washington Pike and Lindsay Road, as is Old Washington Pike between Greentree Road and Scrubgrass Road, Pennsylvania-American Water Co. spokeswoman Jo Posti said.

A 20-inch main ruptured around 1:30 p.m. and flooded the intersection of Greentree Road and Old Washington Pike, she said.

The road was flooded with 8 inches of water and was impassable, according to an earlier tweet from Allegheny County's Twitter account.

Roughly 50 residential and commercial customers close to the break are without service, Ms. Posti said. Some customers in the South Hills have called about low pressure, but that's expected to increase, she added.
