Gas station robberies Monday night and early this morning in White Oak, Elizabeth and McKeesport are probably related, Elizabeth police Chief Robert McNeilly said this morning.
He said the "three similar types of robberies happened over a four-and-half hour period in close proximity of each other."
The first robbery occurred about 8 p.m. Monday at a Sunoco in White Oak, the second at an American Natural in Elizabeth about 11 p.m., and the third 1:30 a.m. at a Sunoco on Walnut Street in McKeesport.
Chief McNeilly said the robber took only cash in each instance.
"The robber went through the motion as if he had a weapon, but no gun was reported seen," Chief McNeilly said.
Chief McNeilly the robber was a white male standing about 5-foot-8 to 6 feet tall wearing black shoes, blue jeans, a dark blue or black shirt with a black shirt wrapped around his head.
