Nottingham -- The Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh, with the Washington County Department of Parks and Recreation, will hold public star parties beginning at dusk June 14-15 at the Mingo Creek Park Observatory near Shelter 10 in Mingo Creek County Park. Viewing will take place if the sky is clear or partly clear but will be canceled if it is raining or cloudy. No registration or fees required.
Nottingham -- The Washington County Department of Parks and Recreation will offer a women's wilderness hike at 10 a.m. June 22 starting at the Mingo Creek County Park office. The event will start with a yoga warm-up followed by a moderately intense hike. A midday brunch will be served after the hike. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a large towel for yoga stretch.
