One man couldn't wait for Castle Tavern to open before he got himself a drink.

At 8:59 a.m. today, Castle Shannon police were dispatched after the tavern's burglar alarm went off. Police said they found a broken window when they arrived a minute and a half later.

A dispatcher simultaneously notified police on the scene that the burglar alarm detected movement in the dining room of the tavern, according to the release.

Authorities found a metal bar that appears to have been used to break the window and an open beer sitting on the bar.

Officers set up a perimeter and a man police identified as James William Ohanlon emerged shortly thereafter.

"The actor made an unsolicited statement that he was thirsty," Castle Shannon police said in a press release.

Officers took him into custody and charged him with burglary, criminal trespass, theft.

The incident was over six minutes after police arrived.
