Dealers in Mon Valley-based drug ring sentenced

Four members of a Mon Valley-based cocaine distribution network were sentenced Tuesday to prison terms.

U.S. District Judge Donetta W. Ambrose sentenced Dewayne J. Joseph of Duquesne to 16 years and eight months in prison. He was 27 at the time of his December 2010 arrest.

Andre J. Jackson of Pittsburgh, who was 32, was sentenced to 15 years and eight months. Eric G. Gaines of Verona, who was 39, got five years. And Alimamy Saidu Timbo, who was 32, of Pittsburgh got three years and five months.

All pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute cocaine in various amounts. The four were among 42 people indicted in a major sweep that started with an investigation in Clairton.
