Baldwin-Whitehall seeking interim marching band director

Superintendent Lawrence Korchnak will form a committee to find an interim music teacher/marching band director for upcoming summer activities to replace Gary McKeever, who retired after 18 years.

At a meeting this month, board member Martin Schmotzer called the marching band post "a high-profile position" that "should be treated with special care."

• The board adopted June 7 as the graduation date for the high school Class of 2011. The rain date will be June 9.

West Penn Allegheny Health System and its affiliate Canonsburg General Hospital will soon offer residents access to an array of clinical and surgical services at a new ambulatory care center in the former Radicchio Complex on Gallery Drive, just off Route 19.
