State police arrested a Fayette County man Friday evening on simple assault and harassment charges after he fought with his mother about dirty diapers.
According to a police release, Joshua Johns, 28, of Connellsville, was arrested in Dunbar. The victim, his mother, had argued with Mr. Johns and his girlfriend about their "leaving dirt[y] diapers on the floor of the residence," according to the release.
After the mother "tossed two soiled diapers onto the floor of the living room," Mr. Johns "stood up and threw a can of soda" at her, according to the release.
Mr. Johns, police wrote, "grabbed [his mother] by her throat, causing her to sustain scratches around her neck," and later slapped her.
