An Aliquippa man who had a history of domestic issues with his girlfriend was arraigned this morning on a homicide charge in her death.
The suspect, James R. Turner Jr., 58, was arraigned by District Judge Joseph Schafer in the death of Patricia Thompson, 53. Her body was discovered Friday afternoon by her daughter in the victim’s home in the 400 block of Adams Street.
Following the arraignment, Mr. Turner was taken to the Beaver County Jail without bail to await a preliminary hearing before Judge Schafer scheduled for Aug. 26.
Mr. Turner turned himself in to police Friday,cooperated and confessed to the to the slaying, Aliquippa Police Chief Don Couch reported.
An autopsy will determined when and how Ms. Thompson was killed. She likely was slain sometime between Thursday and Friday afternoon, Chief Couch said.
