There was no threat posed by a box placed on Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald's car last week, the county Sheriff's Office said.

A man placed an empty box on Mr. Fitzgerald's car at the Downtown Allegheny County Courthouse Thursday afternoon, according to the sheriff's office.

On Tuesday, the office released stills from surveillance footage that showed a man walking around the courthouse property for five minutes before leaving the box on the county executive's car. Chief Deputy Kevin Kraus said investigators were interested in identifying the man to speak to him about the incident.

He was located Tuesday night and interviewed, Chief Deputy Kraus said.

"It was determined not to be a threat," he said.
