Public comment invited on transportation spending

A public meeting will be held Monday to gather comments from Pittsburgh and Allegheny County residents about the draft 2015-18 Transportation Improvement Program.

The program covers 10 counties that are members of the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission, a regional planning agency. It lists funding allocations for all expected improvements to the region’s transportation system for the four-year period that begins Oct. 1, a total of $4.7 billion.

The meeting will be at 6 p.m. at the commission’‍s conference center, Two Chatham Center, 112 Washington Place, fourth floor.
