Pittsburgh-region closings for July 4

All city of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, commonwealth of Pennsylvania and federal offices and courts are closed today for the Independence Day holiday.

Post offices are closed, with no regular pickup or delivery. State liquor stores are closed. Friday garbage pickup is being delayed until Saturday.

Pennsylvania Department of Transportation driver and photo license centers and state liquor stores will be open Saturday.

The Port Authority is operating holiday bus, incline and T service. The Customer Service phone line is being staffed from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; call 412-442-2000 (TTY 412-231-7007). The Downtown service center is closed.
