Saturday’s snow dump resulted in an array of traffic mishaps throughout the region but area emergency dispatchers are reporting a comparatively uneventful morning today. One fatal accident was reported in Whitehall this morning.
“We’re good,” said a dispatcher for Westmoreland County.
“Quite uneventful,” echoed a spokesman for the Greene County emergency dispatch office.
“Nothing at all,” said an Armstrong County emergency dispatcher.
“We’re in good shape,” reported the Butler County dispatch center.
The same was true in Washington, Westmoreland, Fayette and Beaver counties.
A supervisor for the Allegheny County emergency dispatch office said there were many accidents Saturday night but nothing going on this morning. However, a fatal accident was reported at about 6:30 a.m. in Whitehall. The Allegheny County dispatch center does not dispatch for Whitehall.
A spokesman for the Pennsylvania State Police at Findlay, which patrols the county’s interstate highways, said the roads were clear of any reportable crashes.
