A Florida man has been indicted by a county grand jury in West Virginia in connection with the August death of a Wheeling Jesuit University student from Pennsylvania.

An Ohio County grand jury on Monday charged Craig Peacock, 22, of Clewiston, Fla., with homicide in the death of Kevin Figaniak, 21, of Perkasie in Bucks County.

A second man, Jarrett Chandler, 24, of Louisiana, was charged separately Monday in Ohio County Circuit Court with misdemeanor involuntary manslaughter.

Police said the two men attacked and beat Mr. Figaniak on a Wheeling street on Aug. 31. He died a day later at a Pittsburgh hospital.

Both accused men are jailed pending a hearing Jan. 23.
