A 25-year-old motorcyclist from Marianna was found dead this morning in Ten Mile Creek in West Bethlehem, authorities said.

Richard Henry Lawry Jr. was last seen alive at 2 a.m. Sunday, when he left his home on Beallsville Road on a motorcycle, a news release from Washington County Coroner Timothy Warco says. Mr. Lawry was reported missing at 11 p.m. Sunday.

His motorcycle was found off the 1700 block of Main Street over an embankment near Ten Mile Creek, and his body was found about 9:30 a.m. today, nearly a mile downstream, by a search helicopter, the coroner said.

An investigation by the state police is ongoing.
