Two teenage girls from Stanton Heights died in an early morning crash near Crane Avenue and Saw Mill Run Boulevard.

The Allegheny County medical examiner's office identified the victims as Kahdejah Cammon-Perkins, 18, and Mysharri Millender, 17. The crash happened about 3 a.m. and left two others with critical injuries, the medical examiner's office said.

Pittsburgh police spokeswoman Diane Richard said speed is believed to have been a factor.

"They're looking into alcohol as being a contributing factor," Ms. Richard said. All four occupants of the GMC Envoy were ejected in the crash, and police are still investigating who was behind the wheel.

"A lot of things are undetermined at this time and the investigation is ongoing," Ms. Richard said.
