Pennsylvania State Police investigate Punxsutawney homicide

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a homicide in Punxsutawney.

Officials have released few details about the crime. Trooper David A. Ray wrote in a press release that the Jefferson County coroner's office on Sunday removed the remains of a man from the village of Hamilton in Perry Township.

The coroner's office said today that officials have a tentative identification of the remains but have not yet confirmed it.

Troopers at the Punxsutawney barracks said today they were not ready to release additional information.
