The Ohio River is under a flood advisory until Friday evening and several counties north of Pittsburgh are under a flood watch through late tonight, according to the National Weather Service.
As much as three inches of rain fell across the Allegheny River Basin since Wednesday afternoon. Another 1 to 2 inches forecast for tonight and early Friday could raise streams in low-lying areas, the weather service predicts.
Beaver, Butler, Armstrong, Lawrence, Venango and Clarion counties are included in the flood watch, as well as parts of West Virginia's northern panhandle.
The Ohio River could rise to near 18.6 feet early Saturday afternoon. At 18 feet, the Mon Wharf will begin to flood. At 19 feet, water will begin to flow onto the North Shore Riverwalk between Heinz Field and PNC Park.mobilehome - breaking - region
