A morning golf game isn't out of the question, says meteorologist Tom Green, with the National Weather Service at Pittsburgh.

Springlike temperatures are forecast for the region with scattered rain showers not expected until mid- to late-afternoon, he said.

Temperatures will climb to the mid-60s, hitting the high mark between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. The low, reached overnight, was about 54.

These temperatures are typical for spring, even a bit warmer than usual, Mr. Green commented.

He warned that the region will be without a lot of sunshine today and the rest of the week. "We'll have a front stall out and we'll have on-and-off showers and clouds the entire week," he said.

As for snow? "Probably not. We can't completely rule it out but, looking at the forecast we have now, it's not looking like it."

The Pittsburgh region normally averages more than an inch of snow in April but, so far, we've gotten only a "trace," Mr. Green said.
