Pennsylvania State Police in Uniontown are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Thursday afternoon in Hopwood.

A man entered the PNC Bank at 1206 National Pike about 3:43 p.m. and handed a note to a teller, indicating he had a weapon, troopers said.

The teller placed cash on the counter, and the man picked it up, put it in his coat pocked and walked out.

Trooper said they are investigating whether the same man robbed the Rx Plus pharmacy at 1238 National Pike in Hopwood last week.

The man is white, between 50 and 60 years old and between 5 feet, 6 inches and 6 feet, 2 inches tall.

He has a medium build, gray hair, wire-rim glasses, and a grey mustache and goatee. He was wearing a black zip-up coat, black baseball cap with red or purple writing on the front, blue jeans and brown hiking boots.

Troopers ask anyone with information about the man to contact Fayette County Crime Stoppers at 1-888-404-TIPS or crimestoppersfayette@gmail.com. Any information that leads to an arrest could result in a reward of up to $1,000.
