County: Cause of Harrison mobile home explosion undetermined

An explosion leveled a Pleasant Road trailer home in the early morning hours of July 30 in Harrison Township.
Allegheny County fire marshals have closed their investigation of a Harrison trailer home explosion without determining its cause, officials said today.
Firefighters were called to a trailer on Pleasant Drive about about 2 a.m. July 30 and arrived to find an injured woman with burns covering at least 25 percent of her body, officials said at the time.
Allegheny County Fire Marshal and Department of Emergency Services Chief Alvin Henderson issued a statement today saying, "The Fire Marshal's investigation into the cause of the July 30 fire on Pleasant Drive has been completed. The cause remains undetermined due to the extreme fire damage at the site."
