The Mars Area School Board will vote on Aug. 11 to hire a consulting firm to analyze all district buildings.

Jon Thomas of Thomas & Williamson, a Ross Township firm, told board members at their work session Tuesday that a facility student and cost analysis will use engineering analysis and a database on construction components to determine the building’s present condition and anticipated life.

Cost of the study is $12,724.
