Two Romanian nationals convicted of installing skimmers on kiosks at the post offices on McKnight Road in Ross and Murray Avenue in Squirrel Hill were sentenced today to time served and will be deported to Romania.

U.S. District Judge Mark Hornak imposed the sentences on Florin Popescu, 31, and Ion Carligeriu, 30, who have been in custody since October 2013, when they were arrested by U.S. Postal Inspectors and the Secret Service.

Federal prosecutors said the men conspired to produce ATM skimming equipment which they installed on kiosks to steal bank customers' account information.

Both men pleaded guilty in March.
