A former Butler County high school teacher has been sentenced to up to six months in prison and six years of probation for molesting five girls.
Jonathan Crum, 27, who taught 11th-grade English at Moniteau High School, pleaded guilty to five counts of corruption of minors for girls he molested between 2009 and 2013.
Butler County Judge William Shaffer on Wednesday sentenced Crum to serve 90 to 180 days in prison. After release, Crum will spend a year on house arrest with electronic monitoring followed by 72 months of probation.
In court, Crum apologized for his actions.
Prosecutors said Crum victimized the students in different ways, from exchanging explicit photographs on cell phones to sexual acts.
