Fire severely damages Butler County home

No one was hurt but a house was damaged extensively in a fire this morning in Butler County.

A county emergency dispatcher said the blaze was reported at 5:28 a.m. in the 400 block of Ridge Avenue in Butler. When firefighters arrived, the flames were burning through the roof and from second-story windows, the dispatcher said.

The scene was cleared within about two hours.
