For the first time since Tuesday night, all of Route 228 in Cranberry is open.

A storm Tuesday had toppled nine utility poles and downed power lines, resulting in the shutdown of the highway between Route 19 and Cranberry Woods Drive. Also closed were the ramps to and from Interstate 79.

Crews had been working on the problem around the clock and all roads are opened to this morning's commuters.
