FUNDRAISER  

McCandless — Vincentian Home is among the sites for the third annual Rocking for Residents rock-a-thon fundraiser from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday. Proceeds will benefit residents of the three long-term-care facilities operated by Vincentian Collaborative System. Information: www.vcs.org or call Vincentian’s Rocking hotline at 412-548-4056.

GET INVOLVED

Pine — The Woodlands, 134 Shenot Road, is seeking teen and young adult peer mentors for Camp BLOOM, transitional camp for young adults with disabilities and chronic illness. GOLF OUTING

Pine — Concordia Lutheran Ministries will hold a Golf Outing July 14 at Treesdale Golf and Country Club. The cost is $175 per golfer for golf, cart, gift, coffee and doughnuts, lunch, dinner, reception and greens fees. Sewickley — Sisters of St. Francis of the Neumann Communities (Millvale) Golf Tournament will be held Aug. 4 at Sewickley Heights Golf Club, 126 Backbone Road. The shotgun start is at noon and there will be opportunities to win a variety of unique skill and hole-in-one prizes. Lunch, dinner and a live auction are also part of the events. Sponsorships, underwriting support, golfers, auction items and gift certificates are welcome. LIBRARIES

Richland — The Northern Tier Regional Library, 4015 Dickey Road, will hold the following programs:

• Computer and electronic resource assistance sessions will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday and

6 to 8 p.m. next Thursday. Registration is required, in person or by telephone. Please indicate the specific topics you need assistance with during registration. Information/registration: 724-449-2665.

• A storytelling party featuring Three Rivers Storytelling Festival Tellers will be held from 10 to 10:45 a.m. June 28 for children ages 5 to 12 years old. Registration requested at 724-449-2665.

• Summer ales beer tasting at 1 p.m. June 28. A playroom will be available for children during the tasting. Beer tasters must be age 21 and over. Cost $10.

Shaler — Shaler North Hills Library, 1822 Mount Royal Blvd., will host The Art of Writing Truth: An Introduction to Creative Nonfiction from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and every Tuesday through Aug. 26. Saxonburg — St. Luke’s Lutheran Church will host a yard sale in Centennial Hall, 110 State St., from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday. proceeds will benefit the church’s Lutherlyn Day Camp.

SPECIAL INTEREST

Seven Fields — The annual Community carnival and garage sale will be held Tuesday to June 28 at Seven Fields Towne Park, 380 Castle Creek Drive. The event will feature rides, games, food and fireworks. Information: 724-776-3090.
