GET INVOLVED

Areawide — North Hills Community Outreach has volunteer opportunities for people of all ages, skills, abilities and interests. Teens seeking volunteer hours, groups and businesses looking for team-building days, and individuals and families can all find opportunities. The next volunteer orientation sessions are 10 a.m., June 12 at NHCO Millvale, and 10 am, July 10 at NHCO, 1975 Ferguson Road, Hampton. MEETINGS

Hampton — The Greybrooke Garden Club will meet at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Fellowship Hall of Parkwood United Presbyterian Church, 4289 Mount Royal Blvd. Burgh Bees, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting urban beekeeping will give a presentation.

SALE

Hampton — St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 1965 Ferguson Road, will hold a yard sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday with a bag sale at 1 p.m. A special silent auction room will have items, trips, and sports tickets awarded to the highest bidder. Food will also be available. Information: 412-486-7006.

Reserve — St. Aloysius Church, 3616 Mount Troy Road, will hold a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday and from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Foods and dessert will also be available. For Information: 412-821-3610.

RECREATION

Pine — The Community Center, 100 Pine Park Drive, will hold the following programs:

• Summer Recreation, 9 a.m. to noon, June 23 thru Aug. 1 for children ages 6 to 12. Fee: $160 per child, $435 max per family.

• Community Day, 4 to 9 p.m. July 19, featuring MERCEDEZ Band and fireworks. For a full schedule of activities visit twp.pine.pa.us.

• Free movies in Pine Park at dusk: June 18; Despicable Me 2, July 9; Monster University, August 13; Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2

All movies are rated PG. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase at the concession stand. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

SPECIAL INTEREST

Butler — A free program on the The History of Alameda Park - Butler’s Disneyland will be held at 6:30 p.m. next Thursday at Alameda Park’s Carousel Shelter, 184 Alameda Park Road. Mr. Bill May will present a 60 minute slide show full of rare photographs, video clips and entertaining tales.
