Strong storm moving north of city

A strong storm moving through northeastern Allegheny, southwestern Armstrong, southeastern Butler and northwestern Westmoreland counties could produce penny-sized hail and wind gusts up to 50 miles per hour, the National Weather Service said in a severe weather statement this evening.

The storm is moving east at 30 miles per hour and could impact Fox Chapel, Gibsonia, New Kensington, Penn Hills and Wexford.
