Ross commissioners Monday voted to buy equipment for township recreation facilities.

The township will use grant money for both projects.

A new, larger scoreboard will be purchased for Herb Field, the baseball field at the municipal building/community center. The scoreboard is expected to cost $14,600 or less, and will be purchased from Institutional Specialties.

Commissioners also voted to buy “tot lot” playground equipment for Scharmyn Park from Sports & Recreation Association at a cost not to exceed $11,600.
