The satellite campus of Butler County Community College will close the first day of final exams next week because of threats found written in a men’s bathroom stall.
College officials said the threats were found Tuesday at the school’s Lawrence Crossing facility in Union, Lawrence County. The threats indicate that a bombing or shooting will occur next Tuesday.
The Lawrence Crossing facility was closed for the rest of the day last Tuesday.
School spokeswoman Susan Changnon said the FBI advised the school to either beef up security or close for the day. She said students should contact professors about where and when to take exams.
