Long-term lane closures are in place in both directions on Interstate 79 in Butler County, where a truck hit and damaged two bridges.

The left lane is closed northbound where it crosses East Lancaster Road, north of Zelienople. The right lane is closed on the southbound side at the same place.

PennDOT has awarded a $500,000 emergency contract for replacement of two damaged beams. Work is expected to continue into August. Starting next Monday, East Lancaster Road will be closed under the bridges for approximately three weeks.
