Tax rate remains the same in Bellevue

During its regular meeting on Monday, Bellevue’s reorganized council approved the borough’s tax rate of 4.89 mills for 2014. According to Ron Borczyk, director of administrative services, council has been able to hold the line on taxes through prudent spending. The borough’s budget for 2014 is $5.5 million.

During its reorganization meeting, Mark Helbling was elected council president. Lynn Heffley was elected vice-president.
