A Fox Chapel doctor was held for court today on charges he indecently assaulted two women patients. Charges in two other cases were either withdrawn or dismissed.

Raja Chakrapani, 59, also faces charges of harassment.

Four women testified this afternoon before Magisterial District Judge Thomas Miller.

Two described instances in which they said Dr. Chakrapani rubbed against them while he was sexually aroused.

In two other cases -- one of which was dismissed and one of which prosecutors withdrew the charges for -- the women described instances in which they believed Dr. Chakrapani had fondled them. Defense attorney Patrick Thomassey argued that the women described actions that were not indicative of fondling but rather of a medically necessary exam.
