New Castle family displaced by house fire

A family of seven was displaced this morning by a house fire in New Castle.

An emergency dispatch supervisor said the fire broke out at 12:53 a.m. at 648 South Ray Street.

The blaze was under control within about an hour.

A city fire marshal has been asked to investigate the fire.

No other details were available.

The American Red Cross is providing assistance to the family of one woman, one man and five children.
