FUNDRAISERS

Cranberry -- Haine Parent Teacher Organization will hold a Vendor and Craft Expo from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 10 at Haine Elementary and Middle School, 516 Haine School Road. Fox Chapel -- The Junior League of Pittsburgh Inc. will hold its American Girl Fashion Show at 11 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. Nov. 17 and at 1 and 4 p.m. Nov. 18 at The Pittsburgh Field Club, 121 Field Club Road. The event also includes refreshments, party favors, a raffle and door prizes. Tickets are $45 to $50 and can be ordered online at www.jlpgh.org.

Pine -- A Toss and Toast, tennis round robin and international wine-tasting event to benefit Make-A-Wish, will be held Nov. 9 at the Oxford Athletic Club. The tennis round robin will be from 4 to 6 p.m., followed by the wine tasting from 6 to 9 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for the tennis round robin. Cost is $75 for both events and $50 for the wine tasting only. The wine tasting will feature ticket and silent auctions. For reservations, call Daina Coury at 412-576-0034 by Monday.

Pine -- Salem United Methodist Church, 350 Manor Road, will hold an Election Day homemade soup and bake sale Tuesday. A lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations will be accepted for the lunch. Information: 724-935-1627.

Sewickley -- The Broadway musical, "The Story of My Life," will be presented at 7:30 a.m. Friday and 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Sewickley United Methodist Church, 337 Broad St. Tickets, which are $15, are available at the Presbyterian Church of Sewickley, St. James Church, the Center for Hope and Sewickley United Methodist Church. Shaler -- The Glenshaw Century Club Annual Holiday House Tour, Gift Fair & Tea Table will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 17 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1719 Mount Royal Blvd. The tour will involve three Shaler homes decorated for the holidays and the model train display at the office of state Rep. Randy Vulakovich, R-Shaler, 1407 Mount Royal Blvd. Tickets will be available at the Shaler North Hills Library on Mount Royal Boulevard. Cost is $15; all proceeds benefit Shaler Area High School scholarships and various local charities.

LIBRARIES

Shaler -- The Friends of the Shaler North Hills Library are sponsoring a book sale from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday. MEETINGS

Ross -- The Ross-West View Area chapter of Women's Business Network will meet at 7:30 a.m. next Thursday at Panera Bread, 7217 McKnight Road. The group provides personal and professional resources for aspiring businesswomen. Meetings are held on the second and fourth Thursdays each month. SALES

Harmony -- Harmony Museum will host a flea market from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the museum's Stewart Hall at 218 Mercer St. Proceeds benefit the museum's operations. Table rentals are $12 each, $20 for two. Vendors may set up Friday afternoon. Information/reservations: 724-452-7341.

SPECIAL INTEREST

Ross -- Purebred felines will strut their stuff at a cat show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Shoppes at Northway, 8000 McKnight Road. The show is presented by Butler Cat Fanciers. Cats will compete for ribbons and points toward champion titles. The show also features a "spectators choice" award, which goes to the cat that gets the most votes from visitors. McCandless -- Poet Amanda Reynolds will be featured at 8 p.m. Friday at the first literary society event of the year in the Ryan Room at La Roche College. The society was started in the early 1980s. Sewickley -- The Down by the Wayside Choir from Louisville, Ky., will perform at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Music Plus concert series at St. James Church, 200 Walnut St. The string students of Joyce Wohlgemuth and Younga Reitz will perform at 2:30. A free-will offering will benefit the choir's mission of serving the homeless and those with addictions. Information: 412-741-6650.

SPORTS
