Ross -- North Hills Art Center, 3432 Babcock Blvd., will kick off its 50th anniversary celebration Saturday with a members show that will continue through Nov. 5. CRAFT FAIR

Shaler -- Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1719 Mount Royal Blvd., will hold its annual vendor and craft fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Free admission. DANCE

FAMILY FUN

Cranberry -- Dutilh United Methodist Church will host Pumpkins for People Festivities Monday through Oct. 31 at the church at 1270 Dutilh Road. Activities will include a pumpkin patch, story times, hospitality booth, children's play area and garden seminars. Proceeds from pumpkin sales benefit people in need. West Deer -- The Maize Quest Corn Maze at Mish Farms is open through Oct. 31. The maze is just behind Mish Farms Meat Market at 80 Oak Road, just off Route 910. Hours are 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Call to book group visits Monday through Friday. Admission: adults, $7; children, $5. FESTIVALS

Saxonburg -- An Oktoberfest celebration will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St. The event will include a German food buffet, a yodeling contest and musical entertainment. Proceeds from the annual dinner benefit the Winnie McGee Caring Fund at Glade Run Lutheran Services in Zelienople. Registration is requested for the yodeling contest, which will begin at 5 p.m. Individuals may register by calling the church office by Friday. Food will be served in Centennial Hall on the church grounds; takeout also will be available. Dinner tickets are $9 for adults, $4 for children ages 5 to 12, children under 4 free. FUNDRAISERS

Bellevue -- Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Bellevue No. 655, will hold a charity bazaar and card party Oct. 15 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 450 Lincoln Ave. Flea market and bake sale will open at 10 a.m. Lunch will be served at noon. Cost: $8. Reservations: 412-931-4328.

Cranberry -- The Cranberry Lions Club will sponsor a family mini-golf outing from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Fun Fore All, 8 Progress Ave. Cost: $10 per person. Proceeds benefit the club's efforts to purchase a leader dog for the blind.

Fox Chapel -- Aquinas Guild of St. Scholastica Church will hold its Autumn Song Benefit luncheon and fashion show Oct. 16 at the Pittsburgh Field Club. Doors will open at 11 a.m. to socialize and shop the auctions and bake sale. Lunch will be served at 12:15 p.m., followed by a fashion show. Proceeds benefit the church and community activities. Prizes will be awarded for best and worst score. A 50/50 raffle will be held. Proceeds benefit a $1,000 scholarship for a North Allegheny senior. Sponsored by the McCandless Democratic Committee. Richland -- Writers seeking input and suggestions from fellow writers are invited to participate in the Fiction Writers Critique Group that will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Northern Tier Library Richland Center, 4015 Dickey Road. The group meets twice a month.

McCandless -- Vernell Lillie, co-founder of the Kuntu Repertory Theatre, will discuss the life and work of the late Rob Penny on Oct. 15 in a free session of the La Roche College Literary Society. Robert Lee Penny, who grew up in the Hill District, was a creator and co-founder of the theater, which presents stories from an African-American viewpoint. The program will begin at 8 p.m. in the Ryan Room, Zappala College Center, La Roche College, 9000 Babcock Blvd.

Marshall -- Cancer survivors are invited to the seventh annual Healing Journey -- a half-day of inspiration, information, support and celebration presented by West Penn Allegheny Oncology Network -- from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 16 at the Four Points Sheraton North.
