Daily travelers of Route 910 in Richland Township will find themselves detoured for six weeks beginning next month.
It was announced at the Richland Township Supervisors' meeting Wednesday night that a construction project to replace the bridge that spans Willow Run will start July 12 and conclude Aug. 25, closing Route 910 at Grubbs Road. Signs detailing the detour will be in place beginning July 2.
Township Manager Dean Bastianini told the board that the Joseph B. Fay Co., which has been contracted to do the work, will have crews working 22 hours per day. "The plan is to have the work done before school starts," said Mr. Bastianini.
The board also approved a resolution to submit an application for a Community Development Block Grant in the amount of $27,000 to fund the demolition of buildings on the site of the former Pittsburgh Cut Flower property.
