A Washington County woman pleaded guilty to causing a deadly crash on Route 28 near Millvale last year that killed a passenger in her own car and severely injured a couple and their two daughters in an oncoming vehicle.
Amy Magiske, 21, of Canonsburg, pleaded guilty on Monday to homicide by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter, four counts of aggravated assault while driving drunk, as well as drunken driving, purchasing alcohol as a minor, marijuana possession, reckless driving and traffic violations.
Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge John A. Zottola sentenced her to two to four years in state prison followed by five years' probation.
Police said Ms. Magiske was driving south on Route 28 when her car crossed the center line early Nov. 17, 2007, and collided with a northbound vehicle.
Candace Killinger, 19, of Bethel Park, who had been a passenger in Ms. Magiske's car, was killed in the collision.
The other driver, Mark Masterson, suffered serious injuries, as did his wife, Karen, and their two daughters, ages 13 and 14.
