The Pennsylvania Resources Council is hosting its 75th household chemical collection event on Saturday at the Boyce Park Ski Lodge parking lot and will recognize the 75th resident to arrive. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $2 per gallon of chemical product.

Any resident can drop off materials and products such as paints and solvents, cleaners that carry danger and caution warnings, batteries, automotive liquids and pesticides. For a complete list, visit the PRC website, www.prc.org, or call 412-351-7702.

The council began collecting household chemicals for proper recycling in 2003 and has since collected 4 million pounds of chemical products at more than 70 events in nine counties in the Pittsburgh area.
