At Thursday night’s North Versailles commissioners meeting, a township man said he is not in favor of potential Marcellus Shale drilling in the Crestas Terrace neighborhood.

Nathan Wallace said two public meetings were held in Crestas Terrace to discuss the possibility of drilling.

“I know what fracking is, I know what fracking does. … I don’t want fracking,” he said.

Commissioners President George Thompson said natural gas company representatives haven’t contacted the township. If they do, a public meeting will be held on the matter, he said.
