Police to slow turnpike traffic during blasting

Traffic slowdowns are possible on the Pennsylvania Turnpike between Donegal and Somerset starting today, the turnpike commission announced.

Police will slow traffic to 20 to 25 mph in both directions for 20 minutes starting at about 10:30 a.m. on alternating weekdays through late July to allow blasting of a rock slope between mile 99 and mile 102.
