All after-school and evening activities tonight at Hempfield Area High School have been moved or canceled, the acting superintendent said.

Several activities will be moved across the street to Harrold Middle School, Barbara Marin said.

The changes come after a bomb threat written on a stall in a girls' restroom was discovered this morning, she said. State police are investigating and will sweep the building with dogs tonight, Ms. Marin said.

Police indicated to her that they did not feel this was a credible threat, she said, and so students were not evacuated today and school will be in session Wednesday.
